Relationship Wealth Isn’t Optional—It’s Strategic
This week, we hosted our first Discovery Day for our laundromat franchise, Laundry Luv—a major milestone. But what struck me most about the day wasn’t the polished slides, the site tour, or even the vision casting.
It was who showed up.
The prospective franchisees in that room weren’t strangers from a cold ad campaign or people we met at conventions. They came from our relationships—people in our database, people we care for, have worked with, and have served.
Leadership isn’t just about who you lead—it’s about who you let in.
Your most profound business growth doesn’t come from perfect systems or clever marketing alone. It comes from depth. From being the kind of person others trust. From building “social wealth,” as Sahil Bloom calls it in The 5 Types of Wealth — the trust, support, and encouragement of real people who want to see you win.
Even if you’re an introvert, this still applies.
You don’t need a thousand friends. You only need a few strong, steady ones.
So, here’s your leadership challenge for your week ahead:
List out your TEN most important relationships. Name them.
Reach out to the first THREE of them with encouragement, gratitude, or an offer to help. Do it now.
Look for ways your relationship wealth could be the spark for business growth or personal peace. Engage with purpose.
Leadership starts with connection. And when done well, it ends with impact.
Lead with love. Stay steady.
